Your Investment of $147 includes:

  •  Initial Consult
  • Custom strategy for your cat's HCM Management
  • 3 months of partnership in Your Cat's Care

Does this sound familiar?

  • Your vet said "HCM" and handed you a printout. Then you went home and searched for hours.
  • You've read about Felycin, but your vet hasn't used it, or isn't sure your cat qualifies.
  • You're counting your cat's breaths at night and wondering what's normal.
  • You're not sure if your cat is "B1" or "B2," or why it matters.

You're not alone, and you don't have to figure this out by yourself. HCM is the most common heart disease in cats. It affects about 1 in 7 cats, and closer to 1 in 3 cats over age 9.

Why cat parents choose Dr. Kevin

Most general vets see a couple HCM cats a year. Dr. Kevin Toman, DVM, has spent more than 40 years in practice and has treated more than 400 cats with HCM. He is one of the most experienced real-world prescribers of Felycin-CA1 for feline HCM in the US.

That experience shows up in the details:

  • which echo findings matter most,
  • the dosing of Felycin and other meds,
  • drug interactions
  • what to watch for in the first months of your kitty's HCM management.

From Dr. Kevin:

I built our Cat HCM Protocol to help cats just like yours fight this progressive disease with comprehensive care and the latest in medications, based upon my 40 years of clinical veterinary experience.

You just won't find this level of support anywhere else, and I'd love to help your cat.

How it works: 4 simple steps

  1. Enroll,  send your cat's medical records and our intake form.  Don't have an echo yet? We'll tell you exactly what to ask your vet for.
  2. Dr. Kevin reviews your cat's case. You get a written case review within about 2 business days. It covers your cat's stage, key risks and options.
  3. Meet on Zoom. Ask every question you have. You leave with a clear, written plan for your cat.
  4. Start and monitor treatment. If Felycin is a good fit, Dr. Kevin starts it and guides monitoring. That includes bloodwork, rechecks and what to watch at home. Your local vet stays in the loop.

Is your cat a Felycin candidate?

Felycin-CA1 is FDA conditionally approved to manage heart wall thickening in cats with subclinical HCM, meaning the heart wall is thick but the cat has no signs of heart failure.

Your cat may be a candidate for Felycin-CA1 if:

  • ☐ An echocardiogram shows HCM
  • ☐ You don't want to "watch and wait"
  • ☐ You can do follow-up bloodwork and rechecks

What Felycin does, and what it doesn't

We believe you should see the evidence clearly before you decide.

Question What we know Evidence
Is it FDA approved for cats? Yes. Conditionally approved in March 2025, the first drug approved for HCM in cats. Proven
Does it target the thickening itself? Yes. In a trial, it stopped the heart wall from getting thicker over 6 months in cats with early HCM.     Proven
Is it well tolerated? Side effects were similar to placebo in the trial. Monitoring is still needed.     Proven
Does it help cats live longer? Not yet known. A larger study is under way. Unproven
Is it a cure? No. Felycin is generally thought to be a lifetime medication that can slow/stop HCM progression. Proven

Felycin must be monitored closely in cats with liver disease or diabetes. It is prescription-only and, like every other medication, does not work for all patients.

. Dr. Kevin prescribes it only when your cat's case supports it. Read the full Felycin guide →

What does it cost, all in?

No surprises. Here's the full picture.

Item Cost Notes
The Cat HCM Protocol                   $147   One time enrollment for Dr. Kevin's assessment, your cat's custom plan,           and 3 months of partnership.

What cat parents are saying:

"Having lost one Sphynx already to HCM, the last thing I'd want to live through is another loss like this. Dr. Kevin organized *everything* we needed to get Felycin-CA for our new family members who regrettably are also HCM Stage I. Fast, reliable, and honest that's Dr. Kevin & his team."  -- Chris P.

"Real understanding of our needs and outstanding communication!!  Thank you for existing there to help us all over the world, to find solutions not accesible to us and to help us reaching them!"-- Claudiu

"Great Service!! Extraordinarily grateful to Dr. K and HPLL. My boy Milo takes the pill like a champ, and we feel so much relief. We really appreciate the outreach from Dr. K and his team--especially the original consult and then the speedy shipment of Felycin."

Frequently asked questions

Do I need an echocardiogram before I enroll?

It helps a lot. If your cat doesn't have one yet, we'll explain exactly what to ask your vet for, and you can send it when it's ready.

Is Felycin included in the $147?

No. The protocol covers Dr. Kevin's review, session, plan and support. If Felycin is prescribed, the medication is a separate cost that depends on your cat's weight.

Will my cat definitely get Felycin?

No. Felycin is prescribed only when it's medically right for your cat. Many cats are good candidates, but some cats may need a different plan.  Dr. Kevin will work with you to create the best solution for your cat in all cases.

Do I still need my local vet?

Yes. Your local vet does the hands-on care: exams, bloodwork and ultrasounds. Dr. Kevin works alongside them and shares a written plan.

How fast will I hear back?

You'll get your case review in about 2 business days after we receive your cat's records.

Is Felycin safe for cats?

In the approval trial, side effects were similar to placebo. Like any prescription drug, it needs monitoring, which is built into the protocol.

My cat already has heart failure. Can you help?

Yes.  Dr. Kevin can still review your cat's case and build a plan around the treatments that fit.

Your next step

Your cat's heart is changing whether or not you act. The best time to build a plan is before a crisis.
