RAPAMYCIN FOR DOGS -- Canine Longevity Therapy
Rapamycin for Dogs -- Veterinary Guided Longevity Therapy for Your Dog.
There's just one problem with our dogs. They die too soon.
You've done the math. Maybe not out loud — but you've done it.
You know roughly how old your dog is, you know the average lifespan of their breed, and somewhere in the back of your mind you've already calculated the window. Five years, maybe. Seven if you're lucky. And you've pushed that thought away because there's nothing you can do about it.
Except there is. There has been for years. And most vets have never mentioned it.
That's the part that's hard to sit with. Not just that your dog is aging — but that the cellular machinery driving that aging, the inflammation quietly damaging their heart, the cancer cells cycling through their body that never get a diagnosis until they do, the joints stiffening, the hearing fading — all of it has been accelerating while a solution exists.
What is Rapamycin for Dogs?
Rapamycin isn't new.
Dr. Kevin has been prescribing it for years, watching dogs live longer and better than their owners ever expected. But your regular vet probably gave you a blank stare when you asked. And so the months passed.
Rapamycin, also called sirolimus, is a prescription medication that affects mTOR—a pathway involved in aging, inflammation, and cell growth. Helping Pets Live Longer provides weight-based, acid-resistant rapamycin tablets and capsules for your dog. Before prescribing it, Dr. Kevin reviews your dog’s health, medications, goals, and monitoring needs.
Not Just More Years. More of the Dog You Know.
This is the part that matters most. You don't want a dog who survives longer. You want the dog who steals your spot on the couch, who loses their mind when you pick up the leash, who rests their head on your knee when you've had a bad day.
Rapamycin doesn't just extend lifespan — it extends HEALTHSPAN. The years your dog stays mobile, comfortable, curious, and fully themselves.
In the Kaeberlein study at the University of Washington, dogs treated with rapamycin showed improved heart function and measurably better quality of life — even when started in middle age. The Dog Aging Project, funded by $7 million from the NIH's National Institute on Aging, is now using rapamycin as its primary anti-aging intervention.
You don't have to wait for the trial results. Dr. Kevin's patients have been living them for years.

Rapamycin has been shown to extend lifespan by up to 14% in all mammalian species studied. That's a year or more for many dogs. Starting today. |
The Benefits of Rapamycin for Your Dog.
Rapamycin works by inhibiting mTOR — a master switch in cellular biology that governs aging, inflammation, and disease progression. At the low, precisely calibrated doses Dr. Kevin prescribes, it targets aging at the source.
|
What the Science Shows: ✓ LONGEVITY — Proven to extend lifespan by up to 14% in mammalian studies; the Dog Aging Project's TRIAD trial is now testing this at scale across hundreds of dogs ✓ HEART HEALTH — Shown to improve cardiac function and actually reverse cardiomyopathy in both dogs and cats; rapamycin reduces the cardiac strain that kills so many large breeds early ✓ CANCER DEFENSE — Rapamycin has been shown to kill cancer cells before they establish and reduce the incidence of mammary cancer, lymphoma, and hemangiosarcoma ✓ INFLAMMATION & PAIN — Reduces systemic inflammation from gums to joints to spine; dogs in chronic pain often show dramatic improvement in comfort and mobility within weeks |
BONUS: Rapamycin has also been shown to reduce periodontal disease and slow age-related hearing loss — two quality-of-life changes owners notice early and appreciate every day.
Is Rapamycin Right for Your Dog?
Rapamycin is not a drug for desperate situations. It is a drug for owners who refuse to leave their dog's longevity to chance.
|
Rapamycin Is Right for Your Dog If: ✓ Your dog is 6 or older — or showing early signs of slowing down ✓ Your dog has been diagnosed with cancer, heart disease, or chronic pain ✓ Your dog is a large or giant breed, where aging accelerates earlier than in smaller dogs ✓ You want to address the root biology of aging before disease has a name ✓ You've already read about the Dog Aging Project and want access now, not when the trial concludes ✓ Your regular vet gave you a blank stare when you asked about rapamycin ✓ You believe your dog deserves the same proactive, evidence-based care you'd want for yourself |
What Is More Time With Your Dog Worth?
We know the answer. It's priceless.
That's not a sales line. It's what every pet owner tells us after they've watched their dog come back to life — bounding down the hall, sniffing everything, stealing socks — things they thought were over.
What Pet Parents Say.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
"My toy poodle has been on rapamycin for almost two years. He's 15½ years old and it seems like he is literally aging backwards. Highly recommend."
— Jaime's Mom, Toy Poodle Owner
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
"Murphy was so sore he could no longer walk around the block. After Rapamycin, his bloodwork came back perfect and his mood improved dramatically. He romped on the beach last week. He's 17 years old."
— Lynn L., Murphy's Mom
Rapamycin for Dogs -- Dosage and Monitoring
Rapamycin is not a supplement. It is a powerful prescription medication that affects core aging biology.
That means:
• Dose matters
• Timing matters
• Monitoring matters
• Your dog’s kidney, liver, and heart health matter
Used correctly, rapamycin can support your pet's long-term health span
Used casually, you could shorten that health span.

Veterinary Oversight for Dogs on Rapamycin
Dr. Kevin Toman has practiced veterinary medicine for over 40 years. He has treated more than 400 dogs with rapamycin. He has watched it reduce cancer, restore mobility, improve heart function, and give families more of the time they were running out of.
When you order rapamycin from HPLL, you are not buying a pill. You are entering a medical relationship with a veterinarian who knows what dose your dog needs, what labs to watch, and how to adjust the protocol as your dog ages.
Longevity is not about access. It’s about judgment.
That difference matters.
Healthy Years Are Built Early.
Let's be honest. Waiting rarely improves biology.

Rapamycin for Dogs --Frequently Asked Questions
Where can I obtain Rapamycin for Dogs?
Helping Pets Live Longer provides prescription rapamycin for eligible dogs. Your veterinarian may submit a prescription, or Dr. Kevin can evaluate your dog through a Longevity Strategy Session. Weight-based strengths and pricing are shown above.
Do I need a prescription?
Yes. Rapamycin is a prescription drug. Here's how you can get rapamycin for your dog: (1) Have your local vet send a prescription to HelpingPetsLiveLonger@gmail.com, or (2) Book a Longevity Strategy Session with Dr. Kevin — he will evaluate your dog and prescribe directly if appropriate.
When Should a Dog Start Rapamycin?
There is no universally established starting age. A veterinarian should consider breed, size, health history, laboratory results, medications and individual age-related risks rather than use age alone.
My dog isn't sick. Why would they need rapamycin?
Because aging begins long before disease becomes visible. Rapamycin's benefits are greatest when started before decline accelerates — just like the best time to invest is before you need the return. Most of Dr. Kevin's most successful patients started rapamycin while they were still apparently healthy.
How is rapamycin given?
Dr. Kevin commonly uses an intermittent, weight-based protocol rather than daily dosing. The exact dose and schedule depend on the dog’s size, health, medications and treatment goals. Give rapamycin only as directed by the prescribing veterinarian; do not calculate or change the dose using general internet guidance.
Can rapamycin be combined with Acarbose?
Yes — and the combination is one of Dr. Kevin's most effective longevity strategies, particularly for male dogs. Rapamycin targets mTOR; Acarbose targets metabolic aging through glucose pathways. Together, they address aging from multiple directions.
What about dogs with existing medical conditions?
Dr. Kevin evaluates every patient individually. Dogs with cancer, heart disease, kidney disease, and chronic pain have all benefited from rapamycin in HPLL's patient population.
At higher doses, rapamycin can spike blood sugar. This almost never happens at the low doses we use, but if your dog is diabetic we should talk. Your dog's full medical history is reviewed before any prescription is written.
